What does Complyo do?

Complyo runs a real accessibility audit of your storefront against WCAG 2.2 AA, shows every issue with its location and severity, monitors for regressions, and generates an accessibility statement. It also includes an EU GPSR product-safety module. It's an honest audit-and-document tool — not an overlay widget.

Does Complyo collect my customers' data?

No. Complyo stores information about your store (audit results, your settings, and the business details you enter) — never your shoppers' personal data. See our Privacy Policy.

Does Complyo guarantee compliance or stop lawsuits?

No — and be wary of any tool that claims it can. No tool can guarantee legal compliance or prevent a lawsuit. Complyo helps you find, fix, and document accessibility issues so you can demonstrate genuine, ongoing good-faith effort.

How is this different from an accessibility overlay/widget?

Overlays inject a script that doesn't repair your store's underlying code — courts and regulators know this (one overlay vendor was fined $1M, and roughly 1 in 5 sued sites had a widget installed). Complyo audits your actual theme, shows what's really broken, and helps you fix and document it.

How does the scan work?

Complyo loads your storefront's key pages (home, a product, a collection, and the cart) and runs the open-source axe-core engine against WCAG 2.2 AA criteria. You get a score plus a prioritized list of issues with the affected pages, elements, and links to fixes.

What do the plans include?

The free tier gives a one-time audit + score. Paid plans (Starter $19, Growth $49, Pro $99 / month, billed through Shopify) unlock the full issue list, the accessibility statement, and continuous monitoring; Growth adds daily monitoring + email alerts + history, and Pro adds the GPSR module. You'll never be charged without approving the plan first.

What is GPSR and how does the module work?

The EU General Product Safety Regulation requires a Responsible Person, manufacturer details, and safety information on product pages for goods sold into the EU. Enter your details once in Complyo, click "Sync to products," then add the "GPSR compliance" block to your product template — Complyo shows the info on your product pages.

My store won't scan — what should I do?

If your storefront is password-protected (common on development stores), the scanner can't reach it. Remove the storefront password (Online Store → Preferences), or enter any public URL in the scan box to test.

How do I cancel, and what happens to my data?

Uninstall the app from your Shopify admin at any time; billing stops immediately. When you uninstall, we delete the data we hold for your store (scans, settings, and GPSR profile). You can also request deletion by emailing us.
